National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Every Child Matters.

On June 21, 2021, the federal government passed the legislation to recognize September 30th as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a federal statutory holiday.

This September 30th, wear orange to honour the children who lost their lives to residential schools, and support the survivors and families and the ongoing process of reconciliation.

Wear Orange this September 30th. We have designed some T-shirts and are selling them for $20. Proceeds are donated back into our communities.

As well, in spirit of such commemoration, and as a sign of solidarity surrounding the important matter of the many Indigenous children that were so terrible affected by the residential school system, Gen7 Fuel will be closing our stations for the day.
