Our Story.
Gen7 Fuel’s main objective is to assist and support Indigenous entrepreneurs in the start-up and day-to-day operations of a retail fuel station
and/or convenience store on First Nation communities.
Gen7 branded fuel stations are run by Indigenous entrepreneurs ensuring that long term sustainable benefits of a successful business remain within First Nation communities.
Gen7 refers to the Seventh Generation Principle dating back to The Great Law of Iroquois Confederacy. It is based on the philosophy that decisions we make today impact seven generations into the future. This philosophy is at the core of Gen7 Fuels.
The four colours in our logo represent the four quadrants of the medicine wheel. Although the teachings of the medicine wheel will vary among Indigenous nations, what is common is that it represents a holistic approach to life. At Gen7 Fuels, we see the medicine wheel as a reminder to consider the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of our partners, staff, their families, and the communities in which we operate.
By empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs, we are creating local wealth and fostering meaningful relationships that we hope are healing the relationship between settler and indigenous communities.
