100% Indigenous-Owned Gas Station Opens in Enderby

Grand Opening for Charlie’s Gen7, Enderby BC happening on March 17, 2026, at 11:30am.

A new sovereign economic engine is arriving in the North Okanagan as Gen7 announces the grand opening of its newest 100% Indigenous-owned fuel and convenience location on Splatsin First Nation, near Enderby, BC. This milestone event, scheduled for March 17th, 2026, marks another step forward for the Gen7 brand and continued growth for Indigenous entrepreneurship in the region.

This will be Gen7’s fourth location in the Okanagan Valley, featuring a 4,500-square-foot lot with both a gas station and convenience store.

Owned by the Charlie-Joseph family, the new Charlie’s Gen7 is more than a place to stop for fuel. It reflects the Seven Generations mindset, a philosophy that speaks to ensuring businesses built today will create lasting opportunities for the community well into the future.

The grand opening is expected to draw significant attention from across the country. In a powerful display of Nation-to-Nation solidarity, Chiefs and Council members from several neighbouring communities and outside of BC plan on traveling to Splatsin First Nation to stand alongside the Joseph family and the Gen7 ownership team. This gathering of leadership underscores the importance of the project, serving as a celebration of Indigenous partnership, collaboration, and the reclaiming of the local economic landscape.

“This station is a testament to what is possible when vision meets action,” said Gen7 President, Mat McLeod. “While we are proudly Indigenous owned, our doors are open to everyone. Gen7 is for all customers, from all communities. We believe everyone deserves to see their fuel dollars go further, and we are honoured to serve the people of North Okanagan.”

What sets Gen7 apart from traditional gas stations is their commitment to building long-term prosperity for the Nations they partner with. A portion of the company’s profits are directed back into the host Nation to support local youth programs, community initiatives, and infrastructure. To date, Gen7 has reinvested more than $500,000 into First Nations communities across Canada, ensuring that the success of the business directly translates into the well-being of the people.

The new Splatsin location is expected to become an important economic driver for Enderby, creating local employment opportunities while attracting increased traffic into the community through competitive fuel pricing and high-quality amenities.

The public and media are encouraged to attend the festivities on March 17, 2026, starting at 11:30am. The event will feature a traditional welcome, remarks from the Splatsin Chief, visiting Chief and Council Members, as well as other dignitaries. This event will serve as an opportunity for the community to meet the Charlie-Joseph family and the team behind Charlie’s Gen7.

As Gen7 continues its ambitious expansion across Canada through 2026, Charlie’s Gen7 on Splatsin First Nation land stands as a beacon of the brand’s mission: fueling change for future generations while providing unparalleled value to the customers of today.
