Gen7 Fuel & Walpole Station Supports the Nwewnan Sasaang Language Nest with $5,000 Donation

Gen7 Fuel and their local Walpole station have generously donated $5,000 to the Nwewnan Sasaang Language Nest, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to supporting Indigenous-led education and community programs. In addition to the donation, the Indigenous-owned chain of gas stations and convenience stores also partnered with the Language Nest to host a community food and taco sale. This event not only brought people together but also helped raise additional funds that will go directly toward expanding cultural and land-based learning opportunities for children enrolled in the program.

The Nwewnan Sasaang Language Nest is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on helping children ages 2 to 5 explore and understand the world through a culturally rooted, age-appropriate curriculum. Grounded in the Anishinaabe Aadiziwin educational philosophy, the program aims to create a nurturing environment where children and their families can build a strong foundation in the Anishinaabe language. While language revitalization is the heart of Nwewnan Sasaang Language Nest’s mission, they also prepare children for kindergarten by helping improve essential social, intellectual, and perceptual motor skills.

For Gen7 Fuel, contributions like this are more than simples acts of generosity, they reflect the company’s deeper belief that community growth, cultural preservation, and future prosperity go hand in hand.
